Parts of New Brunswick are in for a big soaking.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Fundy National Park, Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.
A special weather statement is in effect for Sussex – Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County.
Up to 30 mm of rain is possible in some areas, except 50 mm along the Fundy Coast before ending early Saturday afternoon.
Rainfall rates have exceeded 25 mm/hour at times Saturday morning.
Embedded thundershowers could enhance amounts in some areas.
The forecaster cautions that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
