Multiple sections of Highway 17 are fully closed in both directions this morning due to collisions.

According to Ontario 511, closures include:

• Highway 17 at the Kangas Saw Mill entrance near Ignace.
• A stretch between Secondary Highway 622 and Bending Lake Road, as well as between West Street and Bending Lake Road, both near Ignace.
• Highway 17 from Highway 11 (West Junction) near Shabaqua to the Ignace east limits sign.

 

Details about the crashes causing these closures have not been released. Motorists traveling along Highway 17 in these areas should expect significant delays and consider using alternate routes.
