Evergreen Park School was placed under a hold and secure on Thursday morning.

An email from Superintendent Randolph MacLEAN went out to parents and students at around 9:10 am, stating that a member of the staff experienced a medical emergency.

Emergency responders were contacted, and Moncton Fire, the Hazardous Materials team, Ambulance NB and RCMP are on scene.

The school enacted the Hold and Secure as a precaution.

The email also states movement inside the school is normal, but no one is permitted to enter or exit the building until the Hold and Secure is lifted.
