Halifax Regional Police (HRP) are searching for a man after a Home Depot security guard was assaulted.
Officers say the incident happened last Saturday around 3:50 p.m. at the store on Lacewood Drive, when the suspect attempted to leave with items he didn’t pay for.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 40 years old, with a medium build, and clean-shaven. At the time of the incident, police say he was wearing a white hooded sweater, black sunglasses, and a black ball cap.
Police say he fled the scene in a white or silver Chrysler sedan.
When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the man or his vehicle, and the investigation is ongoing.
