A pair of fire departments doing their best to contain a structure fire.

Firefighters with the Gillies Volunteer Department and the Nolalu Emergency Services Team (NEST) are on scene, and have closed Highway 588 in both directions between the Stanley bridge and Highway 595.

The flames have also affected school buses.
