The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is now grappling with 23 active cases of COVID-19.

The cause of both new cases Friday are pending, with one more resolved case.

The province reported 563 new cases with 314 coming from individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
