A section of John Street is closing on Wednesday as crews continue to work on watermain repairs.

The roadway will be closed in both directions between Secord Street and Algoma Street.

The City did not have a timeline for when the work is expected to be completed.

Access to the sidewalk on the south side of John Street will be closed during the work.

The Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot remains available via Memorial Avenue and Queen Street.

Drivers should expect traffic delays in the area.
