The Fort Frances Lakers kept their series alive with the Dryden GM Ice Dogs thanks to a 2-1 victory Tuesday night.

Former Kenora Thistle Landon Lowes got the Lakers on the board less than a minute in the third period while Kevin Bond scored the game winner halfway through the final frame.

The Ice Dogs still lead the series 3-1, with game five back in Dryden Friday night.

In other playoff games last night the Thunder Bay North Stars took a stranglehold series with a 6-2 win over the Miners in Red Lake.

The North Stars now lead 3-1 with game 5 back in Thunder Bay Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the Sioux Lookout Bombers lost to the Wisconsin Lumberjacks 4-2 in Spooner.

The Bombers have a 2-1 series lead with game four going tonight in Wisconsin.
