A garage and its contents in Dieppe have been destroyed by fire.

Dieppe Fire was called at Acadie Avenue just before 4 am Tuesday, where they found a fully engulfed detached garage.

“The quick actions of the initial arriving crew prevented the fire from spreading to the main residence,” Chief Marc Cormier says.

RCMP blocked Acadie Avenue for two hours while firefighters battled the blaze.

Twelve firefighters were on the scene to assist in battling the blaze.

The cause is still under investigation.
