A Christmas present for Lauren Alaina. She was invited to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry by Trisha Yearwood, who looked like she was appearing virtually, but was actually backstage to come out with the invitation. Lauren fell to her knees and in a tearful reply said yes, during a Saturday performance at the famed venue. Alaina has performed more than 50 times at the Opry, after she debuted there June 10, 2011. A soon-to-be-announced induction will happen early next year.
I have watched this video ten times (at least) and I still can’t believe it. I cry every time I watch. Thank you again to the @opry, @trishayearwood, and @tmac2. One of the most MEMBERable moments of my life. 🥲 pic.twitter.com/RXigcBl7bs
