Some weekends are calm… and then there are weekends like ours.
First, my boyfriend steps on the laundry drain cover, and one of the metal prongs goes straight into his foot. Cue the trip to Emerg, a tetanus shot, and me wondering how laundry became a full‑contact sport.
Then – because apparently the universe was doing a two‑for‑one special – Lori calls with her own weekend scare. Let’s just say it involved a few innocent cleaning products and a moment that could’ve gone very, very wrong.
So we hopped on the phone and compared notes on our “Are we okay?” moments… and wow, did we both learn something.
Listen to Lori and Dee’s conversation about what happened here:
Because if this weekend taught us anything, it’s this: Read the label. Wear shoes. And maybe bubble‑wrap yourself until Monday.
