It’s a day off school for students in Anglophone East and Anglophone South and most of Francophone South, except Fredericton and Oromocto.
They have all closed due to weather, and the potential for messy road conditions later Thursday.
Environment Canada says temperatures are expected to plunge below zero within a short time frame. That’s going to make the water on roads and sidewalks freeze and will mean icy conditions.
Your travel plans could be impacted. If you have plans, you may want to give yourself extra time to get around.
