A new champion in the ‘Great Lobsterman Challenge.’

Luke Waybret was the winner of Thursday night’s competition at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington, as part of the Shelburne County Lobster Festival.

He was one of eight battling in competitions like baiting a trap, splicing rope and banding lobsters.

Defending champion Tyler Snow finished second, JP Smith took third and was named fan favourite.

The Shelburne County Lobster Festival continues through the weekend.
