Windmill Road in Dartmouth is down to one lane after a collision on Magazine Hill involving multiple vehicles.

The road was closed Wednesday morning and opened up to one lane, outbound from Akerley Boulevard, heading toward Sackville, shortly before 10 a.m.

Halifax Regional Police spokesperson John MacLeod said it’s unclear if anyone was hurt.

He said one of the cars came to rest with a front tire on the concrete barrier in the middle of the road. It’s unclear what caused the car to hit the median, he said.

A collision reconstructionist is on the scene. MacLeod said it’s unclear when the street might fully reopen, because several vehicles also have to be towed.
