A man has barricaded himself inside a building in downtown Yarmouth.

Yarmouth Town RCMP are asking you to stay away from the block that includes John, Cliff and Willow streets to allow officers to do their work.

Police say they’ll release more information when they have it.

Eyewitnesses tell our newsroom a man was taken into custody.
