A 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Halifax over the weekend.

Police say it was on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., when officers responded to a weapons complaint at a home on Elmdale Cresent.

A man was shot by another man who he knows after an argument from earlier that day.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court Monday to face these charges:

  • Discharge a firearm with intent and endanger life
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Use a firearm in commission of offence
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to order
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm in a vehicle
  • Possession of a firearm-no license/certificate
