A marathon runner channeling Terry Fox as inspiration is about to arrive in Thunder Bay.

Ryan Keeping has been following in Fox’s footsteps in a journey across Canada to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

It’s a cause near to Keeping as many in his family have been impacted by heart issues.

He began his journey from the Fox memorial in St. John’s Newfoundland on April 1 and has raised nearly $95,000 so far.

Keeping will hold a rally at the Terry Fox Lookout in Thunder Bay on Tuesday morning, close to the place where Fox has to end his cross country run back in 1980.
