Are you having turkey for Thanksgiving?  

I’m 48 years old, and it’s only been 3 years since I’ve cooked a turkey.   I was always afraid it would never turn out.  So, my wife and I avoided making the turkey for Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

We’d always show up at my sister or brother’s house with the apps.  “Hey, we’ll bring the salad” or “Hey, we’ll bring the mashed potatoes”.  So, three years ago, my wife and I said enough is enough.  We need to be adults about this….and COOK THE TURKEY!

I bought one of those ‘self basting roasting ovens’.  I’ve used it nine times in the past three years and my Turkey has been spectacular.   If you haven’t tried this yet, put bacon on top of your turkey.  It prevents it from burning the top, and it keeps the turkey “moist”.  (sorry, yes I said “moist”, LOL).
