Officials will provide an update at 12pm (EDT) Thursday afternoon on the Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine.

Health Canada says a news conference will be held to discuss the use of the shot in children between six months and five years of age.

An approval will make this the first vaccine in the country for that age group.
