Good news for Thunder Bay businesses looking to prevent COVID-19 spread in the workplace.
The city is once again ramping up their delivery of rapid tests to businesses with 150 people or less.
The COVID-19 Rapid Screening Initiative has been already provided 7,400 free, rapid antigen tests to 120 small to medium sized businesses in Thunder Bay.
The goal of the program is to catch asymptomatic cases in the workplace before they can spread and cause an outbreak.
President of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce Charla Robinson said ramping up the program now is crucial as we enter Phase One of the re-0pening plan.
“We’ve certainly seen in the last couple of days a number of new sign-ons to the program, so we know there is that effort starting from businesses as they plan their re-opening,” mentioned Robinson.
“We’re trying to get the message out that this support is available,” Robinson added. “It is something that can be used with you employees to ensure they’re not infectious with COVID in the workplace, and controlling their spread.”
