A Quebec man is under arrest after a crash left one person with life-threatening injuries and another seriously hurt.

Provincial Police in Marathon say the driver of a pickup truck hit two motorcycles on Highway 17, just east of Peninsula Road, and then left the scene.

Police headed to the crash around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, but say they found the suspect in the parking lot of the OPP detachment.

A 25-year-old man facing dangerous driving and aggravated assault charges will appear in bail court in Thunder Bay Wednesday.

Both motorcyclists were air-lifted to Thunder Bay for treatment.
