Another jump in COVID-19 cases locally.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 97 new cases and 29 resolved, leaving the active count at 380.
13 were a result of household contact, and 29 others from close contact. Six came from travel outside the region, and 45 are still considered pending.
The rise in the active case count locally comes as the province records more than 16,000 new cases leading into the new year.
More than 90 per cent of Ontarians 12 or older have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
