The story of a puppet who would be a real boy, Pinocchio is almost here. Disney Plus released a new trailer for their live-action remake of the classic. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto and Joseph Gordon-Levitt voices Jiminy Cricket. This trailer features more footage of Pinocchio and makes its debut for streaming on September 8.

There are two more versions of Pinocchio coming out this year, with a stop-motion version of the story on Netflix in December, co-directed by Guillermo del Toro. Disney’s next live-action remake will be The Little Mermaid, bound for the theatre May 26, 2023, followed by Peter Pan and Wendy.
