Limited options for shopping on New Year’s Day.

The Shoppers Drug Mart locations at the Grandview Mall and Memorial Avenue will have open doors from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Circle K and other similar sized convenience stores will be open.

In terms of what’s closed, grocery stores like Metro, Safeway, and Real Canadian Superstore as well as the Intercity Shopping Centre.

Libraries, daycares, city, provincial and federal government offices will also have the day off in addition to schools, post offices, banks, beer, and liquor stores.
