A cost reduction in fuel prices won’t come on December 1 as expected.

The cost of the carbon adjuster was set to come off on Monday.

Instead, an order has been issued by the Energy and Utilities Board for an increase equal to the reduction amount.

That will mean the cost for fuel will remain the same.

This comes after officials from the fuel industry raised concerns that drops in prices would have major impacts, including the potential closure of stations acros New Brunswick.
