Rain, snow, wind or sunshine – they’re out there every school day helping keep our kids safe on their way to and from school.  I’m talking about SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS!  They greet students with a smile, look out for their safety, and bring some kindness to busy intersections all across our city.

The City of Thunder Bay announced something great happening right now – in fact, across the country.  Do you know an outstanding crossing guard who deserves some recognition?  You can nominate them for “Canada’s Favourite Crossing Guard”!

Three crossing guards from across the country will be recognized, and can win cash, as well as a donation for their school.

They don’t wear capes, but – they are everyday heroes.  They give parents peace of mind, and help thousands of children get where they’re going safely.  Thanks to all our school crossing guards for looking out for our community’s most precious cargo.
