A big honour for Nova Scotia’s Nathan MacKinnon.
The Halifax native took home the Ted Lindsay Award at the NHL’s year end banquet.
It is given to the league’s most outstanding player and it is voted on by his peers.
MacKinnon notched 140 points this season, including 51 goals for the Colorado Avalanche.
The 28-year-old grew up playing in Cole Harbour’s minor hockey system and eventually became a hometown star with the Halifax Mooseheads.
He won the Stanley Cup with the Avs in 2022
