The number of lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic is 81 in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Officials reported the latest passing Wednesday along with 173 active cases of the virus.

As of the last update, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is treating eight of their 28 patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
