A boil water order has been issued for parts of Dieppe.
This is due to a water main break that occurred on Amirault Street.
Crews were on site on Saturday doing repairs, and water was temporarily shut off.
Residents and businesses in the area of 1951 to 2685 Amirault, 16 and 19 Léonide, as well as all residents of André, Bayview, Carter, Dover, Florida, Freda, Jessica, J.F. Bourgeois, Joanne, Jocelyn, Kristian, Marco, Raphaël, Sophie, Telex, Ulysse, Vézina streets and Domaine Dover Estates are impacted.

Until the boil order is lifted by the Public Health Office, all affected users should follow these instructions:
· All water destined for drinking, preparing infant formulas and juices, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, brushing teeth and dental hygiene is held at a rolling boil for at least one minute, including water that is used for washing teeth, making ice, making coffee/tea or juice and washing fruits and vegetables. This is particularly important for those whose immune system is compromised (i.e. elderly, infants, people with transplanted organs, on dialysis, etc.). Please note that home water filtration devices (water softeners, pitcher filters, etc.) cannot eliminate microorganisms that could make you sick.
· Water can be boiled in a pot, in a kettle on the stove or in an electric kettle without an automatic shut-off.
· It is not necessary to boil water used for other household purposes such as bathing, showering, laundry or washing hands and dishes. When bathing or showering, avoid swallowing the water.
The City will notify residents when the boil water order is lifted.
