Philippe is expected to bring some wind and rain to our region.

It’s supposed to start late afternoon tomorrow in Yarmouth and Shelburne counties.

Wind gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour are expected, along with 30 millimetres of rain.

It will spread to Halifax by midnight Sunday.

Some areas could receive 50 millimetres of rain or more, as Philippe is expected to merge with an area of low pressure.

Flooding is possible along the Atlantic coast.

Watches and warnings related to a tropical storm will not be issued by Environment Canada.
