A horrific plane crash just outside of the U.S. capitol.

An American Airlines plane was carrying about 60 passengers when it collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter.

It happened last night near the Ronald Reagan National Airport just outside of Washington, D.C.

Both aircraft fell into the Potomac River, and as of yesterday evening, police had only found bodies.

Three military personnel were in the helicopter, and several U.S. figure skaters and coaches were on the plane.

Their flight had just left Wichita, Kansas, where the skaters had a training camp.
