Thunder Bay Police are investigating an apparent shooting that happened Monday morning.

They were called to Cumming and May streets and when they arrived learned the incident happening in a multi-unit apartment building.

It was found that there was a man who was injured during the shooting, though it would appear his injuries are not life threatening. He is being treated at the Thunder Bay Regional Sciences Centre.

Police were not able to detain the suspect, who left the area before they arrived.

The Major Crimes Unit are now involved in the investigation.
