The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Chief of Police Roland Morrison is under investigation following misconduct allegations.

The board of directors for the Nishnawbe Aski Nation has suspended Police Chief Roland Morrison while the matter is being looked into.

The police board states Roland will still receive pay while the suspension is enforced but no other details about the allegations are known right now.

Deputy Chief Brad Duce has agreed to serve as Acting Chief of Police until an Interim Chief of Police is appointed for the duration of the investigation.

Acting Chief Duce has had a longstanding and respected career with NAPS.
