RCMP are investigating a home invasion on the Easten Shore.

A man was operating an excavator in Gaetz Brook when another man appeared pointing a gun at him Friday evening.

The suspect forcefully removed him from the excavator and directed him inside at gunpoint.

He demanded the victim open a safe and took nearly $200,000 worth of items.

The suspect then restrained the victim before fleeing.

The victim freed himself and was not injured.

Police say the suspect is described as a black man, wearing a light coloured hoodie and dark pants.
