Two people were taken to hospital last night with serious gunshot wounds following an incident in the city’s north side.

Police responded to a 911 call just before 10:30 p.m. on Ambrose Street, where officers located a female victim suffering from serious injuries.

A second victim, a male, was located a short time later in the parking lot of the Thunder Bay Casino.

Both victims were taken to hospital by Superior North EMS for treatment.

Investigators believe this shooting is connected to the city’s drug trade and consider it an isolated incident.
