Saint John Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday.

An unconscious 41-year-old man was found in the Taylor Avenue area after police responded to a call involving a weapon at 12:17 a.m.

The man had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests had been made at 4 p.m. Monday.

Police are also looking into an incident that occurred at 12:37 a.m. on Foster Thurston Drive. They believe the two incidents are connecting.

Police have asked the public in that area to check any security camera footage they may have.
