Two candidates have come forward stating they’ll be running for mayor in Port Hawkesbury this fall.

Jason Aucoin who is currently serving his first term as a councillor announced he’d be running for mayor on social media.Other potential candidates have until September 10 to submit nomination documents.

Election day will take place on October 19.
