Lane reductions are set to begin Monday on Arthur Street West between Highway 61 and Parkdale Boulevard.
City crews will be resurfacing the street with a partial-depth removal of existing asphalt and re-paving with two new lifts of asphalt.
The work is expected to take around three weeks depending on weather conditions. One lane of traffic will stay open in each direction during the process, and sidewalk access will not be impacted.
“For everyone’s safety, motorists are reminded to expect traffic delays in the area and to drive with caution near construction zones,” the city wrote in a press release. “The city thanks residents and businesses for their patience and understanding as we work to improve Thunder Bay’s infrastructure.”
