Some SSRCE students getting a day off from class.

Bayview Community School, Bluenose Academy, Bluenose Academy Pre-Primary and Mahone Bay Alternate School are all cancelled due to power outages Friday, April 12.

According to the Nove Scotia Power outage map, there are nearly 2000 customers in Bridgewater without electricity as of 7:30 a.m.

The utility says it’s due to a transmission interruption.

Estimated time of restoration is 11:00 a.m. Friday.
