The province is investing nearly $16 million to save three apartment complexes in the Fairview area. In partnership with the Housing Trust of Nova Scotia, the project will help community housing organizations purchase, preserve, and expand a total of 90 units, 62 of which are affordable.
Housing Minister John White says, “every affordable home counts, and preserving and protecting existing affordable units is just as important as building new.”
As part of the Province’s 5 year housing plan, the goal of the project is to reduce barriers and speed up development so Nova Scotian’s can access affordable housing, faster.
