RCMP have closed part of Highway 7 in Lake Echo as officers execute a search warrant connected to an ongoing investigation.

The closure is in place between Churchlake Drive and Bluerock Road. Police are asking the public to avoid the area to allow them to carry out their work.

Investigators say there is no risk to public safety. Few details have been released about the investigation or the reason for the warrant.
