A second vehicle is now sought in connection with a fatal crash in Memramcook that left a 17-year-old Moncton boy dead.
The crash happened on September 29, at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Route 106 in Memramcook.
An RCMP investigation has led police to determine a second vehicle was involved in the crash and fled the scene before emergency services arrived. Police are searching for a 2019 grey or silver Chevrolet Silverado.
“Investigators are aware that there are witnesses who know what happened during that evening,” says Constable. Rob Driscoll with the Southeast District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit. “We are asking those people to come forward with any information that they may have so that we can bring closure to the boy’s family.”
Anyone who may recognize the truck in the photos, who may have witnessed the collision or who knows what happened during that evening, or who may have further information is asked to contact the Sackville RCMP at 506-364-5023.
Residents who live on Saint-Thomas Street or Grand Pré Street in Memramcook, or residents living on Route 106 between Saint-Thomas Street and Anderson Mill Road in Upper Dorchester are asked to contact police if they have information, security camera or dash cam footage from this same time period.
