This is something you would see in a Hollywood film, but it happened for real. A plane crash-landed on railroad tracks and LAPD officers were on the scene and in a heart-stopping video were able to free the pilot seconds before the plane was hit by a commuter train. Hats off to the brave officers for the rescue. (Warning: The footage shows the pilot bleeding from his injuries.)
Foothill Division Officers displayed heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot who made an emergency landing on the railroad tracks at San Fernando Rd. and Osborne St., just before an oncoming train collided with the aircraft. pic.twitter.com/DDxtGGIIMo
