A rescue is underway for two women Thursday night around 8 p.m., in the Cape Split area.

In an email to Acadia News, RCMP say the pair are from out of province.

Details from officials remain few at this time, however, a JRCC helicopter is said to be on the way to get the women.

There are unknown injuries at this time.
