Saint John Police is investigating a reported assault on Germain Street in Uptown Saint John.

On August 2, a man threw a beverage at a 37-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child.

A witness assisted the victims and the suspect left the scene before police were called.

The victims were not significantly injured.
