Saint John police are seeking witnesses following a weekend fire at a tent encampment in the city.
Emergency crews were called to the site between Waterloo and Exmouth streets around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses reported hearing something hit the tent before it caught fire and then heard a vehicle speed away.
There were four people inside the tent when the fire started, but police said they were not injured.
Fire crews managed to keep the flames from spreading to nearby tents and buildings.
Detectives also want to speak with anyone who may have video footage of the incident.
The Saint John Police Force’s Major Crime Unit is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
