Icy and poor road conditions have led to widespread school closures across Nova Scotia.

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE), which includes Digby, Yarmouth, and Shelburne counties, has closed all schools for the day.

All schools within the South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE), including Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Shelburne areas, are also closed.

The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) has implemented a 2-hour delayed opening for all schools.

Classes are cancelled at Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre/Academy, Pleasant Bay School and Inverness Education Centre/Academy because of the weather.

Residents are advised to stay safe and avoid travelling if possible.
