The top curlers in Canada will be in a bubble around the Fort William Gardens.
With opening day of the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts fast approaching, Curling Canada confirmed Thursday that the women’s curling championship has been given the thumbs up by the province to proceed under the current public health measures.
The building will feature no fans or media in an effort to curb possible spread of COVID-19.
Eighteen teams will throw the rocks, including Thunder Bay’s Krista McCarville.
Curling Canada will contact current ticket holders and provide a refund in full.
The event is scheduled to run from January 28th until February 6th.
