Mounties say a search is underway in Taylor Village, near Dorchester, for a missing 70-year-old woman.

Ann Cafferty was last spoken to at around 10 a.m. Monday, and was reported missing to police on Tuesday.

Investigators believe she may have left her residence near the 1200 block of Taylor Road on foot.

Police, ground search and rescue teams and Police Dog Services are in the area looking for Cafferty.

She is described as having a medium build with short hair and dark blue or green eyes.

RCMP have released a photo of Cafferty but said it is believed to be outdated.

Anyone who may have seen Cafferty on Monday, who may have surveillance footage of her walking in the area, or who has information that could help locate her should contact the Sackville RCMP at 506-364-5023.
