A 77-year-old man with dementia has gone missing.

Halifax Police say Basil Short was last seen Saturday afternoon around 2:45 p.m., in the 1200 block of South Park Street after he left his home.

He was reported missing around 5 p.m.

He is described as white, approximately 5’10” tall, slim build, balding with grey hair. He is wearing glasses and was last seen wearing a black puffy coat.

Police say his caregivers are concerned, but there is no reason to suggest foul play.
